In celebration of AAPI Heritage Month 2021, you are cordially invited to the “My American Story” Event hosted by Chinese Americans of Lexington. During the event, seven panelists from the AAPI community in Massachusetts, including four from Lexington, will share their personal American stories. These panelists have very different backgrounds, professions and life experiences, which showcase the wonderful diversity in the AAPI community. It is also an event to celebrate our commonality as Americans.

- Betty King (Commissioner of Massachusetts Asian American Commission, author, rescuer of mistreated dogs and cats, advocate for better human-canine relationships)
- Wilson Lee (Co-founder of Chinese American Heritage Foundation, great-great-grandson of Transcontinental Railroad worker, 13 member of the extended family are veterans, 6 of whom awarded the Chinese American World War II Congressional Gold Medal)
- Susie Lee-Snell (Co-founder of Korean American Organization of Lexington, Allergy Release Technique practitioner)
- Linxi Lu (Boston College Ph.D. student, researcher of education, public speaker, freelance writer, online lecturer)
- Shigeru Miyagawa (Professor of linguistics and Senior Associate Dean at MIT, avid runner and fan of American football)
- Kaveesh Pathak (Sophomore at Lexington High School, community and electoral organizer)
- Deepika Sawhney (Lexington School Committee Member, former textile design and IT expert, passionate student of education)
