Join the Asian American Commission next Tuesday, July 27th @6PM EST / 12PM HST  as we continue to celebrate the various facets of the AAPI identity. In this panel we will talk story, or have a casual conversation, with a few Kānaka Maoli (Native Hawaiians) on their lived experiences when choosing and attending college on the East Coast.

‘Imi No Kona Pono’ī translates to Finding Their Own in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (the Native Hawaiian Language)

The AAC would like to acknowledge that most members of the Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (NHPI) community do not identify or share the experiences as Asian Americans. When we group everyone together with the AAPI acronym, we are ignoring the needs of Native Hawaiians & Pacific Islanders.
This panel will feature La’i Yuen, Kaipo Matsumoto, Maya Rosof, Alexa Bader, and will be moderated by Western MA Coordinator Kamalani Yuen.
